"Most people never discover how great it feels to get really relaxed. This [deep relaxation] stuff really helped me. Now I am more relaxed about everything and it changed my life!"

The deep relaxation procedure on this CD is my muscle-based procedure. I talk you through what has become a very popular method of deep relaxation. By following the instructions (which are on Band 1 of the CD) and doing this 15-minute procedure a few times a week, you will soon be a different person.

Band 2 of this CD is what you listen to to actually do the deep relaxation procedure. Listen to me talking you through the procedure for a few weeks and you'll have it down pat so you can do it on your own.

Band 3 is the Psychosonic Rhythm by itself so you can practice on your own and mask out other distracting noises.

Once you're into it you'll wonder how you ever put up with all that tension and anxiety.

Here are some of the more commonly reported benefits that people get when they regularly practice deep relaxation:

  • Sleep improves (less is more when it is better).
  • Concentration and memory often get a lot better.
  • Stress headaches are reduced or eliminated along with the stress that causes them.
  •  Energy levels increase (you might not know just how much mental and physical energy you are really capable of having).
  • Work performance gets easier and improves.
  • Obnoxious people and annoying bosses are more easily tolerated (this alone makes the practice of deep relaxation worthwhile for many).
  • Health in general improves. (Treatment of illness, by the way, is much more effective when stress and anxiety are reduced.)
  • Complexion and skin conditions improve (many dermatological conditions are related to stress).
  • Creativity is enhanced (this is not just for artists–all of us benefit from more creative solutions to everyday problems).
  • Stress-induced indigestion and ulcers clear up or become more easily controlled.
  • Life becomes more fun, attitude improves and you become more positive.
  • Weight control, quitting smoking, and the control of other habits is easier.

These are my recorded instructions for a step-by-step method that is easy to do, regardless of age or condition. Just about everyone can develop a state of really deep relaxation that relieves tension.

Deep relaxation can also be the preparatory stage for getting deeper into self-hypnosis. Depth of relaxation and hypnotic depth are positively correlated. To state this from the other direction, it is difficult if not impossible to develop a useful depth of self-hypnosis if you are tense and unable to relax.

When you practice this muscle-tensing and releasing method of progressive relaxation you are teaching your  body how to "let go" and eliminate tension.

"Relaxation" sounds weak, but it isn't. Far from it. One of the reasons that "deep" is in the title is to distinguish this from other so-called "relaxations."

Watching a movie, reading a book, or playing a computer game are called "relaxation," but they are merely diversionary forms of relaxation.

Deep relaxation is way different. This is an industrial strength, get-down, mother of all relaxation that can do amazing things for you.

Or, to state it more accurately, YOU can do amazing things with Deep Relaxation.

Everyone owes it to him- or herself to give deep relaxation a try. And it won't hurt you.

Try it. I'm pretty sure you will be amazed by the changes in yourself and the way you feel. Both physically and mentally! If you don't do this you will be missing out on one of the single greatest things you can ever do for yourself.   Ω
